About the Department of Education.
The Federal level spending by the Department of Education grew dramatically during the Obama administration.
The following is from the Department of Education Historical Tables.
in FY2017, DoE Spending had reached an all-time high of $111,702,000,000 (rounded); from $40,550,403,000 (rounded) in FY2012.
Look at the table referenced above, and check the growth through the years.
In FY2018, the amount was reduced to $63,707,000,000 (rounded); this is from Trump administration's first budget.
Where does the DoE spend all that money? Very little goes to any school.
Most is spent on salaries and benefits for the Department employees and contractors.
Download the Current MTS and see the DoE spending breakout in Table 5.
